What Makes our Approach Different?
The Total Music approach is based on a deep knowledge of the voice and how it functions effeciently to produce beautiful tone.
The Total Music approach is unique because we don't just teach you songs, but focus on developing YOU as a whole musician - head, heart, hand and ear.
The total music approach will allow you to discover your True Voice ensuring that you sing naturally and comfortably throughout your entire vocal range without excessive strain or effort.
With this method you will:
- Rapidly increase your vocal range
- Develop vocal flexibility and control
- Develop a balanced and clear tone
- Connect your entire voice from chest register to head register
- Eliminate vocal breaks
- Develop your ear
- Systematically build music literacy and sight singing ability
How good is this approach?
Unlike some approaches to singing, that take a "one size fits all" mentality, the strength of this approach is that it works from diagnosis and skillful management of your technique. We have an excellent record of high results for VCE contemporary singing and AMEB practical voice examinations. Graduates of this studio are now studying at various tertiary institutions including: The Victorian College of the Arts, Monash University, The University of Ballarat, Box Hill Tafe and North Melbourne Institute of Tafe.
